Who created these beautiful pieces of art?

Bruce J. Lakofka Born October 23, 1946 in Chicago Illinois. Began his

professional career at the young age of nineteen in Pomona California. Selling directly out of his old dodge van at the famous Art Mart on La Cienega in Hollywood during the late sixties. The majority of his works during this time were created with acrylics on 4x4 Masonite panels.

The Touch

The Touch

“I believe people are born with artistic talent which they can either develop or not as they choose to express themselves and the world around them.”- BL

That's why for the next fifty years Bruce was a self taught independent artist. Working in many different fields and with various mediums. Creating out of California, Florida, Arkansas, and Tennessee his early work can be found throughout the country.  Including murals for homes and businesses, cassette boxes, and album cover work. Illustrations for books, clothing design, celebrity portrait, architecture design. Creating numerous original airbrush clothing designs for Glitzy Entertainer Jackets with elements of rhinestones and embroidery in the 80s. Bruce even dabbled in interior design, restoration of historic buildings, and furniture design.

The Last Reservation

“The artist’s life is like this: you just try different things, serious research, an idea here, a stroke of inspiration there. Sometimes you don’t know what you love till you try it, it all comes from the soul and in that we are all related.”    -BL

Along the way, he became the people's choice painter in the Las Vegas show for New Horizons Academy for children with disabilities. Being featured at Cheyenne Frontier Days Old Museum, Elvis mural in The Country Hall Of Fame, and countless custom works for entertainers. Bruce participated in many outreaches and charities throughout his life, believing giving back to his community and family was of utmost importance.

One With The Sky

After freelancing in the commercial art field for years, artist Bruce continued his passion for fine art painting in the tradition of the Masters. He studied and loved styles like Remington, Rockwell, Kinkade, and Renaissance era masters. His oils on canvas represent a life long field of exploration and expression. Dramatic and thought provoking, the portraits and work of Bruce stir the emotions with their intense colors, detail, and multiple images. His Indian themed paintings cover the ages of man and nature, and span the seasons beautifully, while celebrating the Native American culture with special emphasis on spirituality and ceremony. In his other work, he sets forth into the world of imagination. Seeing things through the eyes and wisdom of children; beholding the beauty of animals and nature, and the wonder of the miracles that abound around us. Using earthbound pigments, Bruce captured the fleeting elusiveness and spirituality of life and God’s creation.
